why did y'all make the switch from vegetarian --> vegan?

It is our opinion that the dairy/egg industry as a whole has just as much a negative impact on animals/environment as the meat industry ( ... )

right, I realize everything you've just said. I guess since the only animal products I eat/use is free-range and/or wild-caught, and even then I eat so little meat it's rather negligible. I just have trouble understanding the switch, despite having prior knowledge of the reasons you've enumerated.

Either way, that's cool that y'all are doing it. Whatever floats your boat and isn't Republican. :)

I hope this isn't too strange, but I saw your entry on Emma's (sinatraswooner) friend's page and I couldn't help but notice the laptop lunch box. I've been considering getting one, I'm trying to pack my own fun and healthy lunches (and, in theory at least, I'm an adult).

If you don't mind, I'd like to add you as a friend.

PS Do you think the lunch box is big enough for an adult?

Glad you found me! I'd love to friend you also.

When I ordered the laptop box I got two of them because I wanted one also. I really like them because they eliminate lunch waste like zip-locks and plastic throw-away containers. Sometimes it's hard to pack a particular thing in there, like a sandwich. I have to cut in half and kind of shove it in. But I don't pack those too often so it's not a huge deal. On the few occasions where I'm packing something that just won't fit, I just bring a different lunch bag for the day.

I'd say that 9 times out of 10, it works perfectly for me. Plus, the kit comes with that great book with some awesome lunch menu ideas!

Thanks! I appreciate it!

Yeah, I don't like sandwiches, so its part of my struggle to pack lunch (and not buy unhealthy lunches). This may finally make me follow through and buy one, thanks!

or you can check out a bento box! i got a mini one & find that it works great for smaller portions but multiple foods. plus the craze with making them into cute little designs for your kids excites me about packing lunch for myself! :)

& comes with plastic chopsticks & a case (or the mini one does at least!

i may suck it up & get a bigger one. ohhhh they're great!

I've looked at the laptop lunch box, and it seems like a good investment. Do you like/use the recipe book that comes with it?

The lunch box is great. I highly recommend it. I use the recipe book for a lot of ideas, but have to modify most of them because they aren't vegan. As a whole though, the book is full of cleaver and healthy lunch menus. Well worth the price.
