Mailed what I am told is the very last divorce paper to Scott today for signature. Once that is filed, damnit, I should be able to get a court date. He said he never wants to hear from me again, after this is over. That's very mature coming from the father of my children. He has blocked my email. With this settlement agreement is the child

I finally heard from my ex about the last details I needed to send her back the papers. No court date for me though... no common property and no children, it's barely more than a formality, apart from the emotional baggage these things carry.

I was under the impression that the petitioner always had to appear in court to finalize everything.

Then again I have children. The common property of a house was sold, I guess there's the car titled to both but it's always been mine... he ended up with a reposession on his when he went batshit insane.

Emotional baggage. Everyone's got it. Can't escape life unscathed, even without failed marriage(s).
