DEPRECIATION

This was lovely. I had to laugh at the various similes in the piece. Runa is resilient indeed, I hope to read more about her.

You've done such a good job of capturing the fortitude of a loving mother, this almost qualifies for the prompt, "When you live for someone, you're prepared to die," though, in this case, preparing to live is just as much of a challenge, and, in general, almost always is more of one, probably. Nice portrait of a strong, capable, goodhearted woman, and her love worthy of being emulated. Well done.
