Realtor Drama

My realtor is driving me crazy. Here is the recent scare tactic and preaching she has done. I have copied this from an e-mail she sent last week when I had left to go to STL. I haven't responded or called her back yet. I don't know if it's me being stressed and irritated or if this would irritate anyone else if their realtor sent an e-mail like ( Read more... )

Did that rub you the wrong way too? I wanted to make sure it just wasn't me.

OMG yes it did! I mean, that is HER job. She is working for YOU. She needs to be nicer and more professional.

I think she thinks she can talk to me like a child since she is so much older. I'm just done with the lack of respect and her throwing in our face that we didn't price it lower to begin with. She told us what we listed it for in the beginning was fine and okay!

OMG that was condescending! Def. get a new realtor! There are so many bad ones out there.

And from your post about St. Louis, it sounds like the housing market there is much like the one here, where you can't get anything a person might actually want to live in for under $200. I don't know where she thinks you're moving.

I tried to explain to her that it is more expensive where we are moving but she thinks we can just come up with thousands of dollars at closing here to sell this house and thousands more for a downpayment up north. I've been really nice about how she is talking to me because I'm afraid if I get rid of her she'll turn her group of realtors against me. She owns her own Keller Williams office and has people under her. But now I just don't care. No one in her office is bringing buyers to my house now so chances are they won't anyways.

Well wow. At first I was trying to figure out if this was some generic "inspirational" email that she was sending out to all of her clients. Then I realized towards the end that it was geared specifically to you guys. I don't like the comment about "the onger you play this game" as if you and Ben do not NEED to sell your home right now. Some people do put their homes on the market with the whatever attitude. If it sells, good. If not, they will just stay where they are for awhile longer. Obviously you guys are not in that position so what freaking game are you playing ( ... )

No, the e-mail was sent to my e-mail and Ben's e-mail. I am tired of her thinking she can talk to me that way. She's been doing this all along to me but I've let it go because I was hoping it would sell and we'd be done with her. BUT that is not the case. We signed a contract with her until December but because she has to sign with our Primacy re-lo company and give them updates all the time and work for them too, in that contract it states we can let our realtor go at any time. I'm sure when I get the nerve to let her know how I feel, she will be glad to get rid of us anyways. I just hope Ben doesn't get to her first... ha ( ... )

Get a new realtor. Personally, I am partial to Century 21, but any of the "big names" will do.

She works for you! She seems to have forgotten that.
