Dimly, Izuru wondered if Winry's choice of bathing suits was advisable for surfing. The thought flicked across his mind when he watched her pull off her tank top, and he immediately turned away, as if she needed some sort of privacy. So it was the least he'd seen her wear in four years. No big deal. None at all.

He groaned softly anyway.

He looked back up at her when she burned herself, smiling and pulling off his t-shirt. She had been to tan, and he had been in the hospital. He didn't want to think about the sunburn he was going to have to endure if he wasn't careful. Never mind being careful. He was going to have one anyway. It was worth it to spend time with Winry, even if he knew she was going to make fun of him for it. "Promise I won't fall off so much again," he assured her and pulled out his own board, which had been miserably unused for months. Finally, he indicated her bikini with a skeptical raise of his eyebrows and a gesture of the hand not holding up his board. He was twenty-five, not twenty and awkward as he had been

Winry looked at him curiously before her attention turned to her bathing suit. Was there something wrong with it? No, she was sure that wasn't it. He just found it odd that she was planning on surfing in it. Any other time they had surfed she had worn board shorts and she even had one of those wet suits, she just hated wearing it. "Oh, yeah, it'll be fine. I used to surf in just my bathing suit all the time when I was first learning." Of course, then she had been a little girl in a one piece bathing suit. Now there was the danger of something coming untied and revealing a bit too much. "It doesn't bother you, does it?" she asked with an obvious teasing tone to her voice.

Looking him over, she frowned. "Did you put on sunscreen? Strong sunscreen, I hope because you are going to burn." Her eyes narrowed, a playfully annoyed look on her face. "You spend too much time at that hospital!" She'd come prepared however. She knew he didn't spend much time away from the hospital and that had made her aware that she would have to deal with a

He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "I just want to make sure you're okay with the possibility that your bathing suit might come off in public." He'd had his fair share of near misses on the beach, and surfing only aggravated that. "And yes, I put on sunscreen." A lot of it. At a stronger SPF than he was willing to admit to, because he knew he was going to burn, and burn badly. He nodded at her then and started toward the beach proper. "That would be great, thank you." It was nice to know that she'd been thinking of him and what he'd need, knowing that he burned a bright, angry red and would need... at least some TLC when he was too sore too move much that night.

Winry brushed his concern away with a wave of her hand. "It'll be fine." Or, at least, she hoped it would be fine. Perhaps this type of bikini wasn't the best idea when it came to surfing and being in the water. It was fine for just sitting out and tanning, but the strings made it a bit risky when it came to water. "Well...I hope it'll be fine. I mean, I've had an incident at the beach before. I had been in High School at the time, so the guys I was surfing with had a nice little show, but I was mortified."

Once on the beach, she hurried towards the water. Looking towards him, she spoke, "So...ready to show off your surfing skills? I've gotten a bit better. I did a lot of surfing back home, but the waves are calmer here so I probably won't be able to show off too much."
