I was just 21 when I found myself in a "this is my rape" situation. And it would have been, had I not finessed my way around the guy. Had he succeeded, right-winger radicals would suggest it was not a "legitimate" rape, because I went into the guy's apartment willingly, mistakenly thinking he was a friendly guy.

This whole discourse on "legitimate" rape inflames me to no end, especially considering it's mostly men trying to skew the definition of rape. Indeed, they need to "check their privilege." In my opinion, they have no business in the discourse, unless they themselves have experienced rape.

I appreciate it when guys attempt to understand.
