..When I start working fo' real. 8:45, metro desk, who's got the scoop? If I weren't so tired - from driving to Boston Saturday to DJ, Sunday to go to a wedding party, Monday to see Reigning Sound, and then DJing in Providence yesterday - I'd be really nervous.

I wanted to go to the beach (oops, sorry) on Friday, but it's supposed to  storm. 
I  was  ready for cheap beer club but it was going to be at Ginger and Marisol's place and  their cat hairs make me sick.

On the couch instead of going to the beach! What was I thinking?  Marisol and I took a trip to the teeny tiny little beach that my new office overlooks.  I wore a bathing suit that I bought 10 years ago.  My boobies barely fit, but I stuffed them in real good.

So I have been officially invited to attend the Society of Environmental Journalists' Annual Conference this year. It's at the University of Texas at Austin.  It's nice to find a niche... there are so many opportunities and so few people vying for these fellowships.

You will be happy to hear that I finally have a start-date for my job: August 1.  So that means just three more weeks of this wretched life that I've been living.
