This day has all the potential in the world for being a truly horrible one.  I really hope I'm wrong on this assumption.

Are you ever really used to something happening as a sequence of events?  Like everytime X happens, then Y proceeds.  Then, did Y ever NOT come?  And then you try really hard to hint that Y should rear its ugly head and you end up looking like a complete idiot?  Yeah.  It happend to me today.
