your doing a great job and remember most businesses are lucky to break even in the first two years. You've got a great reputation and its building my word of mouth all the time.
It's sensible to be wary of the taxman

Thanks *smiles*

And yes the tax man will bugger up right royally if you try to mess him about - but if you are actually good to him, he will help any way he can. The tax seminar was actually fun! :-O And the tax man we had was bonkers... if only his jokes weren't so painful :-)

He even gave us tips on how to pay as little tax as possible and new legislation (well hidden) that would save us loads. It works, he has done something for me, I in turn will play by the books :)

its very handy and suprising what is counted as a business expense as your working from home you can write off a share of rent and bills as business expenses etc etc. I personally hate all the paperwork but if you keep up to date with it is not too bad.

indeed :-) it's the new legislation dealing with expenses for working from home that he told us, it has significantly increased what you can claim. Rent, bills, council tax, all the phone line rental, all internet costs, cleaning and what I love is that if you ride a bicycle you can even claim 20p a mile as expense if you do anything romotely business related on the ride - even picking up some stamps :-)

And yeah, book keeping can suck - I went a few weeks behind and it took me a whole night to sort them out. Now I'm making sure to do them weekly at most
