Still Dyeing - Painted Yarn

Here is some of the yarn I have dyed recently using natural dyes. I ended up getting some Cormo yarn and some Cormo-Alpaca yarn. I have 4 of each of the colorways. It was expensive yarn, but it it is really wonderful and absolutely delicious. Both are from a family farm that grows, processes, and spins the wool. The yardage is about 1700 yards ( Read more... )

These are mill spun yarns. I am dyeing them, but not spinning them. As far as time goes, I am trying to figure that out myself.

i'd offer naming suggestions, but i think we have a different "yarn-naming philosophy". :)

that middle set, "dances with fireflies" comes to mind.

lost on the others, it is hard for me to give a name for something i didn't make.

Oooh, I like that.

I have a hard time naming anything. I refer to it as the "Nancy disease" after an old boss at a cafe. When naming soups and salads she would list all the ingredients in the title. I fear I suffer from the same thing.
