I used to like Spooks because it was interesting and had a very hot young blond spook--who unfortunately died. Now I like Spooks because every third shot is a place I recognize right around the corner from where I live!

Easy! Everything else on television is more shit. Apart from Life On Mars and Doctor Who, but they both appear to be finished now.

And Match Of The Day of course, but that qualifies as a documentary.

The appeal of Spooks is that they might kill anyone*! At any time! With no warning! None of this 'well, it's bound to turn out OK cos they're good guys and they won't die'. It's like a very extended version of that Casualty-watching game where you try to predict who's going to mangle themselves, and how.
