So... Skins is back. I'm not sure what to think. All of the storylines of the second generation feel forced, but I still do like most of the characters. I decided to watch the ep anyhow, and get myself through by reviewing it in a rather snarky manner. Can I just say I agree with you 100% and no one has had the balls to say what you've said yet?
I was blissfully ignorant in season 3, but after that episode I get what everyone means about Generation 1, and now I want them back.
Hopefully it will improve, they started the series off with this.. . hopefully it will get better. They couldn't put this in the middle of the series it would just be too boring.

It reminds me of how they threw in the sketch episodes in season 2 to give Maxxie more focus after people bitched about him having zero screen time in the first season. Those were shit as well. People complained about Thomas' lack of storyline, so they contrived some haphazard mess that will promptly be pushed aside so that the series can continue in its true fashion.

The Sketch crap made for awful episodes. Out of character for the show, and everyone involved, and completely awkward. Like in Lost when they decided to just randomly add in two new characters halfway through the show (annoying ones too), and the fan response was so negative that they killed them off a few episodes later.

Thanks. And yeah, I hope they just decided to get rid of the boring episode at the beginning... but like I said, I'm not an optimist. *shrugs* We'll see.

I think when Thomas was laying in bed the first time he was actually thinking about the sex he had with Pandora, iirc

Yeah, I couldn't tell. I thought it was weird for him to be thinking about Andrea, but I just couldn't see clearly enough.

i agree with your last statement 100%. but i am hoping that it'll get better though! :S

Oh, look, it's Effy. She looks freaking amazing, as usual, and I'm reminded of how much I loved her before the triangle of doom sapped all the life out of her character.
This. So much this. Please please writers give her a proper storyline and not let it revolve around cook and freddie again, please.

Yeah, they really NEED to give Effy some story that doesn't involve an ass who can't keep it in his pants for more than half an hour, and a whiny mopey emo boy. She's so much better than that, and her episode in season two is one of my favorites out of the whole show, so I know they can do awesome stuff with her. *sigh*
