What's better than fresh tomatoes from your own garden?! Really. I just ran outside to do some quick harvesting before they all end up on the ground. Came inside and made myself a little salad of just cherry tomatoes, red pepper, basil, mozzarella and some vinegar/oil. Delicious ( Read more... )

Ben's long time friend Grace currently lives in Nantucket working for an all girls landscaping crew. Grace is one of those free spirits that we all know and love. On Monday's and Friday's I work from home. So now I'm sitting on my upstairs patio amazed at the billows of pollen coming off of the huge pine trees in front of the house. Its the weekend and about a month into my move to Marshfield. A little inspiration from the movie Julie and Julia, a new cookbook that outlines the writers experiences at farmers' markets across the country and my own desire to tuck these memories away somewhere safe and secure lead me back to livejournal. So I'm making my first dinner for Daniel. Here's the tentative menu...

Baked salmon w/ a dill butter
Herbed Orzo w/ some sun dried tomatoes, little bit of spinach and pine nuts
Garlic Sauteed Spinach
Homemade wheat rolls

Any ideas for a perfect dessert? Ashley???? Something light and impressive?
Wine suggestions? I'm thinking a crisper Pinot?

Its a good cloud watching day. Bright blue sky and big fluffy fast moving clouds. Looks almost surreal.

How am I upsetting people from 1400 miles away?! WTF!!! Apparantely Bush and Paul aren't speaking to me and I dont know why. :( I'm really upset by this. *sigh* Ugh...whatever. Guess we all find out who are real friends are in moments like these.
