i composed my first jazz piano song ever today. i was near tears i was so excited. i couldnt believe it. and it sounds good. i have a lot more work to do on it, but like the basics are there and wow i'm just so happy right now. shows what a little determination can do. and a muse of course. ;) yay for jazz. and for starting to get it.

you would think that since i've played piano since i was 4 yrs. old that i would be able to at least play some jazz chords. or anything remotely jazz. but no it takes me like 10 minutes to come up with any chords that sound right. i played piano for 2 hrs. today, and i maybe got about 5 jazz progressions that sounded good. damn classical piano ( Read more... )
