Parent a high-schooler!
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make any.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, kaalee! And she is the most gorgeous baby!!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No
5. What countries did you visit?
Sadly, none. I am rectifiying this in 6 weeks!
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
More patience
7. What date from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 23 - my father was rushed to the ER
June 9 - Son graduated from middle school
July 28 - involved in a car accident that totaled my car
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Hitting my stride at work and learning to manage my stress.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not doing a big summer holiday.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Minor injuries from the car accident, did a month of physical therapy
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My tablet and Samsung Galaxy SIII
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My wonderfully supportive friends!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The GOP in general.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Tuition!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Disney in March, LEGO Championships in May, the Olympics
16. What song will always remind you of 2012?
Call Me Maybe/Somebody I Used to Love.

i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? About the same.
iii. richer or poorer? A bit richer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Decluttering my house.

Wasting time!
20. How did you be spend Christmas?
Husband worked on Christmas day, so we did the present exchange thing on Christmas Eve.
21. How will you be spending New Years?
At husband's cousin's for dinner.
22. Did you fall in love in 2012?
Yes, but sadly he (Dylan O'Brien) doesn't know I exist. Also, he's half my age.
23. How many one-night stands?
I think we need to drop this question.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
White Collar, Teen Wolf (don't judge!)
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Hahaha! Umm...One Direction. Like, I am not obsessed with them, but their music is not as teeny bopper as I'd thought.
27. Favorite film?
Argo
28. What did you want and get?
A tablet. My son accepted into his high school of choice.
29. What did you want and not get?
A trip to Hawaii
30. What was your favorite live/stage experience of this year?
*tilts head* I don't think I saw any live stage shows this year. Oh, unless you want to count Fox News's meltdown on Election Night.

I was 43. I worked, but my husband took me lunch that day at the fabulous cafe at NMAI.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Losing weight.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?How can I look like a fashionable 43 year old and not too old or too young to be wearing that!
34. What kept you sane?
Definitely my friends. Also, yoga!

Dylan o'Brien. Tyler Hoechlin.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election. Gay marriage being passed in my state.

Earlier iterations of myself.
