Jaina wasn't nearly as angry as she thought she maybe should have been after her visit with Anakin, but there was a part of her that really did just want to tell John about it. She thought maybe she'd gotten hugely spoiled, even with him in Antarctica. How had that happened?
After getting back from the bowling alley, Jaina made sure to send off an E-mail. After talking to Ronon, she figured she wouldn't be hearing from John till the end of the "two years, tops," but that didn't mean she wasn't missing him and wouldn't keep sending updates.

This is what I've been up to. We got hit with a blizzard that knocked out the power all weekend, and somehow Caritas was the only place that actually had electricity. I made Tino make forts, just in case. That, and freezing, was my weekend, and tonight I went to this new thing they're doing, some bowling thing for people over 18. I am not a fan of bowling, but it's nice to be around people my own age sometimes, even if they are mostly my teachers. And the vice principal.
So, make any good blanket forts lately?
Love, JainaShe had no idea if he'd think she was crazy for adding that last part or not, but she wasn't going to send over E-mail what she'd heard, and

After lunch, Jaina came back to her room and started on an E-mail, wanting to catch John up on the weekend's events. She was used to going to him after times like this.

The attached picture is one of the things that showed up around the island on Friday, and if Jacen wasn't off being Jacen, I would have shipped one off to him. (I still haven't heard from him, by the way.)
What I didn't take a picture of were the ugly green things that ended up attacking the island all weekend. I'm fine, nothing but a few scratches, but it's been a while since our last invasion. I also feel the need to point out that I ended up taking a break from killing things in order to go to work. I don't know if I'm painting myself in a good or a bad light by saying that.
Otherwise, not too much is new here. Work, class, counting down the days. Speaking of which, it's been fifteen days since you left. Come home soon.
After getting off work, Jaina decided to send the evidence of what she'd been doing here, figuring pictures of people covered in hot fudge and baby pics would be something he'd want to see.

Are you back yet? Hurry up.
Love, Jaina
She thought the pictures were funnier without context.
Monday night, Jaina sat down to write an E-mail before she had to leave for home. Don't think she hadn't considered trying to put off her trip, but since this was her, that thought only lasted about a second. Which was good, because if it didn't, the planet would have tipped off its axis and spun into space.

By my estimation, I should be hearing from you soon. Of course I have to go home this week. It's nothing bad. I've been tracking this one guy I ran across months ago and we've finally got some good leads on him, so I'm headed out to check them out myself and hopefully bring him in. I'll have Kyp with me (for backup), so I'm sure it'll be fine as long as the leads hold out.
So in case you're back and I'm gone, CALL ANYWAY. I'll have time and I want to hear from you. I can't wait to talk to you again.
