Been keeping tres busy with workness. My schedule is all over the place. I'm trying to look for apartments, but with such a messed up schedule its hard. I'm taking stuff in at work, slowly but surely, and actually did some stuff Friday for the printed paper instead of just fooling around with pictures to practice. First day of work...I was there from 7:30 EST to 5:45 today, leaving the office only to meet up with my mom for lunch. So, big news first, then on to the smaller stuff. On Wed. I got a call from Rick at the Daily Press asking if I could come back for a 2nd interview. Of course I said yes, went in yesterday and met the paper's publisher, and by noon had been offered the job. I got a call this morning letting me know I got my apt. and can stop and get the key and stuff tommorrow. Yay! Plus, I get one with the view of Hermansville Pond, instead of looking at the parking lot. Yayer! I got all moved out of Marquette and am staying with the fam at the moment until I get housing. Looks like I may be able to get into an income-based apt. complex in H'ville, and be paying $25 (their minimum rent) for at least the first month, cuz my ass is poooor. So, I've officially been an alumnae of NMU for just over 3 hours now. After graduation I saw some folks I knew, and then went and had an open house thing at the NW office...Sam came, and my fam, my grandparents and Uncle Ralph, and later Michael and his family, Val, Rob, Jim, and Kate all showed up...It was pretty laid back and nice.
