I think you found a good resolution point. The hunt for Moriarty now could make a good story as well, but in terms of Sherlock and John landing together in Baker Street you've told that story quite well. I really like the idea of Mycroft being the one to not underestimate John.

He wouldn't be Mycroft if he were to repeat others' mistakes. The continuation could be really fun to write, but I had reached a point where writing this story was about getting the next part done, and that wasn't fair to the story. So I decided to stop for the time-being.
(More like my beta telling me, this is a really great place to stop).

I'm glad you enjoyed the story and stuck with it to the end. Thanks a lot!

Yey, you've finished the story. And in such a wonderful way. The idea of the two of them working together is excellent.

Thanks a lot! The ending was virtually an accident. I had reached a point where writing the story had become more about getting the next part out and I was afraid that sort of thinking would make for a drab ending. But I sent these two parts and my beta says, 'I thought this was the ending'. And my response was 'why not?'

I'm glad the story held you to the end. There were so many places where I would have given up on it, if not for readers like you egging me on. Thanks a lot!

It's an excellent ending. Rife with possibilities, but offers just enough closure. John is especially well-characterized; starry-eyed, but BAMFy and smart.

That's my John, romantic and BAMFy at the same time. The continuation could be really fun to write, but I had reached a point where writing this story was about getting the next part done, and that wasn't fair to the story. So I decided to stop for the time-being. Thanks a lot for sticking with the story despite the monthly gaps. I can only say that it has the 'the end' line because of readers like you.

So... wow! Also, Mycroft.

So, is this going on your 5-star stories list or do you have some completely unnecessary rule against reccing your own fics?

I honestly blushed when I saw this review. Umm... Thanks a million for that assessment! I've put a link to the story on my Tumblr, but putting my own story on my must-read list is a bit too...(I don't have a word for it, but I'm scrunching up my face like Jim right now!). I'm cracked up that it's on your list though! Thanks a lot for saying so.
