Finally! My first tamagoyaki that is not the wrong shape. And, yes, I did it without a bamboo mat. It's a little overdone by the usual standard, but I kinda like it that way. I've been making this dish a lot because it's cheap and relatively quick, depending on how hard you're trying to get it to look right.
