Although it can be quite time consuming, I enjoy carving Halloween pumpkins. I don't have enough time - nor the inclination - to design my own stencils, opting instead to use the groovy ones provided by Ryan over at Zombie Pumpkins. For a nominal fee you can download as many stencils as you like, and be sure to check back yearly because he is ( Read more... )

Those are awesome. As artistic as I am, I never put that much time into pumpkin carving. I always opt for the traditional jack-o-lantern look. Plus, I've spent to much time decorating the porch and making a bat pinata (pics to come).

I'll try to put them up tonight. I'll even include the video where one of the kids hit another one dead center of the forehead with the pinata whacking stick.

From start to finish, less than 2 hours. Gutting the pumpkin and tracing the stencil take up most of the time. The actual carving only took about 20 minutes or so. Alice Cooper took the most time, and Scream the least.
