My brother-in-law's father is being trained to return to the war in Iraq. They're training him to tell which children are threats, which children are being sent to the convoys with grenades and bombs, so that he can know which children to kill. I have no more words for this.

This past weekend was amazing! I drove to VA Beach with my former roommate, Ashley, to help her move her furniture into her new house. While there, I met her new roommates and, I must say, I'm a bit jealous. They are so excited about God. Ashley's really going to flourish in her new environment. Urgh! I'm supposed to be going to Scotland for New Year's, but it's seeming like less and less of a good idea. The passport people said I'd most likely have my passport in time, but they couldn't make any guarantees. Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Lots of people see the title and think, "Hmm...short gestation period; Christmas is only a couple of weeks away." I think I just had one of those I'm-not-a-little-kid-anymore moments. Granted, it was in the form of today's Advent present, so I don't know how much it actually counts. At the beginning of each December, my mom gives my sisters and myself a bag each. The bags contain 24 little presents, each numbered, for us to open during December. So, over the past week and a half, I've been having food issues. Whenever I eat, I get that woozy sort of nausea that I associate with over eating, just without that full feeling of over eating.
