Journal Entry 7 - August 2, 2008

Looooooooong day today!  I had to get up at 4 am to be at the bus stop by 5:15 am to make sure I was at the school by 6:00 am to catch the van at 6:05 am.  So I was not in the best of moods when I got to the school.  I sorta kept to myself and didn’t talk to anyone.  Our first stop on the tour was the coffee ( Read more... )

Sorry it’s been so long since I updated!  I didn’t do anything special last weekend, except lose the key and get locked out of the house, so I didn’t do a journal entry.  I actually don’t have too many cool pictures for this journal entry either, but I did see something cool yesterday that I can share with you.

Hello, everyone!  Another wonderful excursion yesterday!  I went on an aerial tram in the rainforest next to the Braulio Carrillo National Park.  I am not really “nature girl” by any stretch of the imagination, but I was awed by everything I saw.

Today was San Jose day!!  I spent some time in the Gold Museum and the Money Museum.  Actually, they are called the Museo de Oro Pre-Colombiano and the Museo de Numismática.  Apparently, “numismatic” is the English word meaning the scientific study of currency and its history.  Who knew?  Anyway, the museums weren’t all that exciting to me, but I ( Read more... )
