I'm thinking of getting an iPhone when my T-Mobile contract expires next month. (In my defense, may I point out that I have been without an iPod for well over a year, and that combining a phone and MP3 player would mean no increase in the number of gadgets I own?)

I don't know how to live. If life were a class, right now I'd be very worried about my grade. How to make money, find love, sustain friendships, build community...there's so much I don't know, all the important stuff. Too lonely, too clueless, too anxious, too easily overwhelmed.

Something's not right...and I don't know what to do.

one of those days when i'm generally dissatisfied with life. lonely, and unsure what to do about it. wondering if all the struggling is really leading anywhere, or if i'm deluding myself to think that passion can pay. sometimes i'm just a lost, lonely, scared little boy.

isn't it curious how summer, like last call at a bar, can make all sorts of locales look appealing? long days and twilight, green and warmth.

...other people's dogs, that is. I arrived at a new dogsitting job this evening, and at the moment I'm sitting on the back patio, enjoying string quartets streamed to my computer via Pandora, and free wireless from somewhere. What a nice change of pace, a real house with a yard, in a nice part of town, as opposed to a studio apartment downtown. ( Read more... )
