Surprised?

The reveal is up for the sshg_exchange so I can finally reveal what I wrote this time around.

My fic Breathe that I wrote for timestep  was an absolute joy to write, though when I initially wrote it I was afraid it was total crap.  It took the combined efforts of Shug, SLogic and Kel to talk me down from my ledge that I was threatening to jump from when I turned it in ( Read more... )

It was really, really a joy working on your painting :) I will be posting it up on my LJ in a few days (maybe tonight, if I get around to it), and we need to have a chat about your gift anyways :D Maybe via email? I can be reached at foxestacado@gmail.com

I actually took a little hiatus from Harry Potter fanfic sometime during the exchange, and I must have missed yours. I need to get out of my Superman/Batman fanfic phase and get back into reading SSHG! There were some amazing stories that came out of this exchange.

There were some great stories this time around, and I honestly didn't know whether people would like this story or not because it isn't like anything else I've ever done.

I'm soooo happy that you did that painting for me! I truly mean it when I say that I sat in front of your work at Portus drooling and making everyone come look at it with me. I'll email you at gmail and we'll chat.

You utter, utter SNEAK

No, I wouldn't have guessed it was you... you... fluff bunny. That fic of yours nearly left me in tears I'll have you know--TEARS. I knew as soon as I read it, it would be one of the standouts of the Exchange, but never, ever, ever guessed it was your doing. *huffs*

*iz super-sneaky*

I was about to burst when I read your post with your favorites. I wanted so bad to message you and say, "it's me! it's me!" I couldn't wait for the reveal to happen. I wouldn't get too excited, I'm pretty sure that the fluffy bunny muse will take back over again...soon...maybe. :P

Hee. You know it just got rec'd on crack_broom right? It sure isn't just me :-)

Truly, I loved it. Among other things, it had style. We're a bit staid as a ship I think. Third person limited past tense chronological that doesn't challenge you to think about what's happening. And it had emotional punch as well.

(I'm reccing on KIA chronologically btw, and trying not to dump all the recs at once. But yours is one of the early ones so soon...)

This was breathtaking. Thank you so very much for writing it and sharing it with us. Timestep was a very lucky recipient!

Thank you! It was a great prompt, and something about it just hit me at the right place at the right time.

*hugs back*

Awww, I'm so happy you loved it. I have to confess that I still haven't finished most of the multi-chapter stories on the Exchange because I got busy with school stuff. But I was reading all the short stories with an eagle eye because I just KNEW that after we dragged you into the exchange you would try to get away with a short one this time. I will get all of the stories read, even if it takes most of the summer.

Betcha didn't guess that one was me, didja? Huh? Huh?

I will totally confess: I had no fraking idea! I thought for sure scatteredlogic had written that wonderfully touching, brilliantly executed story. I'm even more thrilled to know it was you.

I didn't figure anyone would figure it was me that wrote Breathe. But I'm jumping up and down like a maniac at the thought that you had SLogic figured for the author. I love her writing, and that's a fabulous compliment! *smooches you*
