Everywhere I look, new moms looking for advice. New moms needing help. Hey join up if you are a new mom to find other moms that are looking for help
( Read more... )
I join a lot of these online communities just for the information aspect of it. (And for good deals on buying things used -- that's the main reason I'm on thebabywearer.com)
Our LLL group is funny because most of the moms that come have toddlers or older, so it's really just an excuse to hang out with other people who are of a similar mindset as far as parenting. But I know that every group is different, so I don't know if you'd be able to find that out there. (At the very least they may have "enrichment meetings" which are often a social event with babies welcome. :)
I'm with you. I do have a group of girls who all had their babies at the same time I did, and we just update and brag about our kids. Granted, I admit there was a freak out when Genna came down with Roseola a few weeks back, but for the most part, really now...
Good for you on the BF/cloth diapering thing. I had massive problems with BF'ing Genna but will try again with the next one.
Anyway, just wanted to mention that you aren't the only "new mom" that feels sort of competent at the whole mom thing. And yeah, it's hard to do almost anything with a child attached to you. I do recommend mommy-zone.com, btw...they do a heck of a lot more than talk about babies (less on the help, and more about just hanging out) and I really enjoy them.
