FIC: "Cupid's Dart" House/Wilson NC-17

Jun 16, 2008 01:36

I'm proud of this one - it took a long time to write and edit, and at 17 pages, it's three times as long as my typical House/Wilson fics. It's my version of the House/Wilson backstory, based on my fanwank that the two have been romantically and sexually involved, off and on, since they first met. This is not an original theory, and the House/Wilson ( Read more... )

Havent seen your stuff in quite a while, but its definitely worth it every single time. I love your writing style, its just fits them, and the sex? Amazing and so vivid, love it! Hope you are writing again soon, because its worth the wait :D

Yep, I was busy with grad school - I actually started this fic six months ago and only recently did I have a chance to finish it. It is a long one, so editing took forever. Thanks your your wonderful comments. "Vivid" sex scenes - yes, that's what I aim for.

I am always touched to read that my writing's worth the wait. It alleviates my fears of being 'forgotten' by my beloved f-list. So thanks very much for that!

Thank you! I thought it was cute, too. I had fun writing these two as young men. Thanks for the feedback :)

* deep breath*

This is awesome! The whole fic is wonderful but the last three paragraphs are so, so perfect! I want to print them and put them in the DVD boxes of the show - I may do this, actually... ;)

Lovely, cute and very hot! Great job!

Aw, thanks, I am honored to think you'd do that with my writing. I did struggle with the ending quite a bit, and eventually decided to just post it anyway, even though the ending wasn't as 'perfect' as I wanted it to be. It just kind of fades off sweetly and I think that's okay because it fits the overall romantic tone of the story.

I am pleased that I've written a 'cute' story, that really makes me happy. This one does remind me of your adorable icon - I just can't decide which is Wilson and which is House. I rather think that House is the kitten and Wilson's the bunny. But it could be the other way around :)

I absolutely love the ending. It's so very true to the relationship we see in the show, which is not romantic per se, but has a vibe of the kind of love story we use to see (or to read) in Victorian novels, with so many obstacles until the couple can be happy at the end. I don't know if I'm explaining this very well, sorry :)

Oh, my icon... I was talking with HWShipper about them and I actually named them H/W, but I don't know who is who... If I go for the personality types, I'd say you're right, because Wilson seems to be a bunny type and House a cat type, but I really can't decide... Sometimes perceptions can be deceiving, specially with them ;)

Oh and about the on and off relationship: I totally think they being doing it for years!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaii!!! I've missed your House fanfiction so much!!!! So happy you could get away from studies long enough to gift us with this epic tale of Hot Doctor Lovin'!

You got it perfectly...their relationship, their attitudes...and House in particular is so wonderfully portrayed. Your descriptions of his behaviour just rock my world. I can't thank you enough for sharing your fantastic work!

On a side note, loved Wilson's study buddies. I usually can't be bothered with new characters in fanfiction, but you wrote them so vividly--just fab. Fab, I tell you ♥♥♥

Thanks, it's nice to be missed. Grad school got in the way of fic-writing. I'm off for the summer and hope to write lots more before I return to my studies.

But, I want to point out - they aren't doctors yet, in this story! They are doctors-to-be!

I appreciate the compliments about their characters. I did enjoy writing House and modelling him on myself during my own college days (I was quite a troublemaker!)

It's funny you comment on his study buddies. They are such minor characters, I didn't think anyone would pay them much attention. That's rewarding, to know that the little details are noticed by the reader.

Glad you liked my story and thanks again for the feedback!

young!House and Wilson, I must say, are my favorites and I can really never get enough of them, so I thank you for an incredibly enjoyable read. I have been waiting ages for a fic like this. You are amazing.

Thank you, I did struggle a bit with their characterization, and I'm glad you like the end result, because it was a challenge. Reading all the great feedback makes it so worthwhile. It's not the reason I write, but it sure motivates me! Thanks for reading and commenting.
