Oh yes, I printed and mailed The Clef today in a matter of an hour and a half. It was great. Once they were all in their pretty white envelopes and the guy at the Post Office was putting the $0.83 postage stickers on each one, I could feel the 500-lb. weight being lifted off my shoulders ( Read more... )

Feedback: "dieing" is actually spelled D-Y-I-N-G.

I'll keep you abreast of the situation as soon as my copy arrives. ;)

Mr. Grammar Police Man says:

First off, dieing is actually spelled D-I-E-I-N-G.

There are two things wrong with your first statement. The first is that you are asserting that something does not equal itself, such as 2 = 3. To say that a sequence of words is actually a different sequence of words is preposterous. This goes against logic.

Second, you used apologetic quotes, which are never correct. Use italics to emphasize words, never quotation marks. These punctuation marks should be reserved for their namesake: quoting things.

I think what you meant to say is that the gerund form of the verb die is dying. This would, admittedly, be correct. Congratulations on taking my advice and being more specific in your choice of words. ;-)

Finally, I'm not entirely sure how you're going to keep Melissa "abreast of the situation" as your copy arrives, as it would be impossible to give her a play-by-play of these events. You see, you'll be outside, not on your computer, so you'll actually be informing her of the situation after it ( ... )

Barring the fact that I had a lot of input on the design, I really like it. I think the whole pictures thing gives it a great brotherhood feel instead of just being another newsletter.

Oh yeah, I totally printed the Clef while you were in class. ;-)

Rock on. I like it.
