Time speeds up without her permission. This was my favourite. But why are you always so perfect? This was the best Beckett In Therapy I've seen thus far. Flail.

just... Wow. I really enjoyed this. Initially i didn't feel it was like an analysis until the middle half of the end, but even then massively enjoyed how canon it was. If i was stuck on a train somewhere and wanted to rewatch 4x01, this would be more than fantastic. Love the change in posture when the shrink delves into why she's there- and the reason she gave was spot on, i felt.

The only thing was a small additional word (she?) in the 2nd? Last sentance of the break up scene with Josh (reading this on my phone makes copy/paste hard sorry).

Meg. Oh, my darling, beautiful, amazeballs Meg, you did it again. You take our old Beckett and pursue her new truths in ways only you can. The parallel between their lost summers? Ridiculous. This section: (This is what she hates about therapy. They're always aware when you have something you know you need to face up to and they make you bare it yourself, without their usual fishing or prodding. It used to make her want to be silent just to spite them. But she's here at her own choice; she'll do the hard work.)? Even more ridiculous. THAT ENDING? WHAT IS THIS SOCERY?!

You're perfect, they're perfect, it's perfect AND I JUST REALISED A CONNECTION BETWEEN CASTLE PANCAKES AND HAVEN PANCAKES THAT IS MAKING ME DELIRIOUSLY HAPPY AT 4AM.

Thanks baby! I'm amazed at how easily this just flowed out of me so I'm super happy you like it. Ha, that section about therapy? Not at all based on my own feelings or anything ;D But it felt true for Beckett I think.

Lovely fic. You captured Kate's thoughts perfectly. I love seeing what she thinks in each of those scenes, how she's terrified, but how she wants to make it work, too.
