It's officially been seasons since my last post.

Things are good - albeit crazy on our end.  Here's the short version:

-I worked liked crazy amid state and city budget cuts.  I managed to keep layoffs low and was rewarded with a nice raise.  Party.

If you haven't already seen it, go out and rent/buy Ratatouille.

Oliver picked it up yesterday during his errand run.  (Yes, still housebound).  We watched it last night and it was so cute! 

It's official - a chest x-ray confirmed that I have walking pneumonia.

Hello drugs, my old friends.

Oliver gave me notice that if I don't start getting better, he's trading me in for a new, younger model.

We put Patches in the bedroom while we ate dinner. Oliver noted that, like all the women in this house, she immediately found the geometric center of our King Size bed.

She'll fit right in!

Today is the official pasta-making day at Casa Ostermink. We're making homemade fettuccine, spaghetti, ravioli, pappardelle, & agnolotti. Oliver is also making a double batch of his bolognese sauce so we can freeze it and use over the next few months.

All I can say is...yum!

Oliver and I celebrated our anniversary in New York last night with dinner at Jean Georges. Although our official anniversary isn't for another week, it seemed right to commemorate the event in New York, since this is our city. It's been forever since I've updated.  Life on this end of the earth is busy, but not terribly interesting.  We've been out of town most weekends visiting friends and family.  Two weekends ago, we visited Jen & Sean in Dalton and went to Film Night at Tanglewood.  This weekend, we headed to the Jersey shore to visit with my parents and get a tan.  ( Read more... )
