There's no way that man can ever identify with the black community. What trials, racism or hardships has he suffered? He should just bleach his skin and be done with it. No one is going to accept him.
I think possibly the minorities might favor him above everyone else simply because of his ethnicity and "everyone wants a minority in office" but once he actually gets in office (hypothetically) everyone who initially voted for him will turn their backs on him and it's then that the majority of the accusations will be heard of how he's "not black".
Granted, whenever a president gets elected everyone finds something to complain about, including those who voted for him but this one I can see being a lot worse....and a helluva lot funnier.
The fact is, he is technically an African American...
Because his dad was a rich African, and his mom was an American.
He never did go through the trials of being a minority in the United States. He can not relate. So when he gets on TV and actually says "I'm for gay solidarity because I've been there," NO HE HAS NOT! I mean, race and sex are two different things all together, even considering discrimination, and either way, in a place where a maid costs a pocketful of change, if you're on the giving side, you probably haven't experienced much hardship because of race.
I contend that he IS going through the trials of a black man RIGHT NOW. . . I mean, look how quick we are to criticize and pidgeonhole him. . . he is being defined almost exclusively by his race in our conversations.
Yeah, but he does it to himself. He does. And that's what really hurts, is he does it to himself, it's true, him and no one else (well, everyone else), but he does it to himself.
I mean, watch him in any campaign speech. "I've been there. I've been there. Illegal immigrants, I feel you! Amnesty! I'm black! Gays, by united (but not married, because of Jesus)! I'm black and so I know that gay people exist!"
