I'm going to buy a macbook! I have mixed feelings about it. They were popular among the computer scientists at my school for being useful to programmers, but I've defined myself for so long as a not-mac user. I think I can get over it. Compiters are the most important tools in my life; I aspire not to depend on having a particular one.

One thing I learned from Michael is that MacOSX is secretly Unix. You shouldn't have much to worry about.

It's not much of a secret; that's why they were so useful to my classmates.

actually, the biggest challenge I think is going to be my quest to synchronize/integrate my IM logs across multiple operating systems.

Tell me about it. I dunno if Meebo logs yet, but Trillian doesn't appear to have integrated the activity history function into their web-based Astra client.
