BTW, I have never known LJ to delete a journal unless it violates TOS or the user does it...even if there's no entries on it. You could always leave it up with a giant 'piss off! no one's 'ome!' sign at the end...there's been some pretty fun & interesting shit posted here too, and it would seem pretty labor-intensive to copy the comments as well...
