On Saturday night Ryan, Fiona, and I left Amy's and Alex's apartment. We were riding our bikes and Fiona was in her car seat strapped into a trailer behind Ryan's bike. As we rode out in the righthand lane a car made a right turn into the lefthand lane. Except the SUV didn't go into the left lane, she drove into the right lane and stayed there. ( Read more... )

Glad you guys are ok. People can be stupid and inconsiderate, especially when they get in their vehicles. I agree with erin, cities should be more bike friendly. That's on the things I loved about Lincoln, tons of bike trails.

I also get upset when I see bike riders behaving like jack asses. You guys are giving all of us a bad name and making drivers think they have an excuse for running us over!

I find that the more I behave like a car, the more cars have to treat me like a car.

Of course, that doesn't save you from oblivious idiots. I'm glad you guys are okay!

Yeah, I think this experience taught me that, just like in a car, I have to be ready for the oblivious idiots since I am not one. It also taught me how to keep Ryan from beating someone.
