Feast prep is in full swing

Just taking a break from feast prep to check in. I made applesauce last night for the first time and it is very tasty, if I must say so myself. I had to make two trips to the restaurant depo to get everything and now I'm about to go play with meat. < sesame street count> 30 dead chickens! Ah ah ah! *lighting*

I like modern technology. I'm not doing an entire feast with completely period techniques or foodstuff. Don't have the time or the stuff.

I did go and document sweet potatoes for someone who questioned the menu. In fact, sweet potatoes are the original potato. White potatoes weren't around until much later.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Sesame doesn't so the crash of lightning thing anymore. Someone decided it was too scary for the kids.

That is CRAP! What is with the coddling of kids these days? Lightning is a natural phenemon. Maybe if the kids associated it with something fun, it wouldn't be so bad.
