This is a partial scanning of a painting from Pieter Aertsen, called the Pancake Bakery, which shows pancakes and waffles. There is a date in the painting indicating that this is from at least 1560. A month or so ago, on a forum that I am on, a haiku game was played were subjects were given and all who wanted to could write haiku on them. There were no judges or prizes, just the fun of writing.
