I love the POV, and the way Mamoru takes this on himself rather than involving Nagi so that he doesn't have to let Nagi know that he noticed, and that even at the end, when Christian is dying, he thinks of Mamoru as "the boy".
Pragmatic idealism... I get the impression that Mamoru is both more aware of his own nature and less concerned by it than Omi ever was, and there is something a bit chilling in that. There's almost a hint of nostalgia to this murder - one wonders whether taking matters so personally in-hand was relaxing for him? There is something sweet in Mamoru's motives that's rather at odds with the coldness of his actions - and seeing it all through the victim's eyes just highlights how unsettling a character Mamoru really can be.
Interestingly, I've never seen/read/watched any WK canon but Kapitel, and yet between yours and daegaer's fics, I've grown terribly fond of Mamoru. Hurray for vigillantes who grow up and discover the business world really is murder. XD
