Today is a good day. The first place we saw, we liked. The second place we saw, we liked even better. At 4 pm, we're going to drop off a deposit check and sign a lease for the second place, with the first place as backup, just in case ( Read more... )

We're all signed and deposited, and our new landlords are cool as shit for people that could be our parents.

Huzzahs! The previous tenants bought a place down the way, so we know it's a nice area, despite very minimal parking. Not only is it what we were looking for, it's a little more than. We get southern exposure, an AC in the master bedroom, I get a top floor sewing room to myself, he gets a basement drums room to himself, the desks/computers will have their own room, open small back yard for plants n grillins, <5 minutes to liquor and grocery, bus stop across the street...
I think the only way we could do better is to buy a house, which should be the next time we move.
