sounds a lot like my experience at my grandmother's funeral in December. I (re) met many second cousins that fit the same description as your step sister, and was super worried about my uncle's mental health. I too hope the ceremony is good for you, and I hope the family stuff is too (I know it can be really overwhelming!)
