I just overheard a conversation and I guess I was only hired for this project, and my time here is short. :( So, guess who has to job hunt. Yes, boys and girls temping sucks and they only need you for projects or if you don't really impress them they kick you to the curb. I am sick of this shit. I work my ass off for fucking nothing. Sorry to hear about your cat. Before you dump a whole lot of money into an ultrasound--this sounds like exactly what happened to Penrose a couple of years ago. The vet we were going to at the time was very good and explained that there were really only a couple of things it could be. 1 was liver cancer 2 was some kind of bile duct blockage 3 was something called hepatic lipidacidosis, aka "fatty liver" syndrome. He went on to say that for the first 2, there really isn't anything that can be done, and you just flushed a huge chunk of change down the toilet. The third is easily reversable, you just need to get the cat to eat--even if it involves inserting a feeding tube directly into his stomach. So, that's what we did. The vet fixed Penrose up with an external feeding tube and that's how we fed him for a couple of weeks before he got his appetite back. He was also prescribed antibiotics and steroids "just in case."

Well, Doc J thinks it's because of the Steroids that caused his Liver issue. But, we'll see. We've been avoiding doing the ultrasound for a year now. We know part of the problem is his Pancreas. But, ty hon! :) Plus he's been eating and drinking.
