How far off the rails must Burt Reynolds's life have gone for him to decide to go to rehab at 73? Ride that fucker out, Burt. You're almost dead! The best part is that just yesterday these two guys on one of my flights were telling me how they have a really wealthy friend who has a private plane, and he used to take them from NYC to LA. The tweeted version of this post about Burt is my all time favorite of yours. I have always thought you were pretty awesome, but, this puts you over the top. Cold to the bone funny.

I wish I'd been smart enough to do rehab instead of white knuckling it without supervision. In hindsight it was pretty dangerous. (I had seizures a couple times detoxing)

I don't have the self-control or willpower to do it without being locked up somewhere with nurses with drugs tending to me.

Once it began, I was far to terrified to stop. (the detox)

I remember spending a good deal of time on the floor and Scott throwing little tootsie rolls my way to distract me long enough to scurry by me. As I raged and flipped out a lot. (literally with the seizures)

I didn't know about rehab. And I didn't realize the risks of doing it unsupervised. At the amount that I was drinking at the end. (I quit other drugs a few months earlier and compensated by increasing the booze)

okay, this is started to sound WAY to much like a meeting. g'nite.
