Been A While
I haven't posted in quite some time but a lot has happened. My daughter, Julie, gave birth to Sophie on December 19th. Sophie was born at 6:59 PM and weighed in at 7 pounds 14 ounces. Both mother and baby are doing extremely well. See a.pic of Sophie at the end of this post.

Happy Thanksgiving!
It has been a busy two weeks here for me. As of January, my coworker (who is also our Notary Public) will no longer be coming into the office but rather working from home. I decided to study for the Notary Public exam. I enrolled in an online course which allowed me to watch and pause whenever I needed to. It offered a quiz after each section ( Read more... ) -

So the weather here went from 80's last Thursday to low 50's on Friday. Thursday was an air conditioning day and on Saturday, Ricky turned the heat on. We haven't shut it off since. Surgery, Work, Etc.
On September 20th I had surgery on my right hand for a trigger finger. My surgery was done at an outpatient facility about 15 minutes from my home. Ricky took me there for my 6 am arrival and the surgery started sometime around 7 am. I was back home and having coffee by 9 am that morning. It was great. I had no pain to speak of. Maine
Last Thursday Ricky and I drove to York, Maine to attend a wedding. We left NJ around 11 am and drove up I95 into southern Maine. The trip took almost seven hours as we hit a lot of traffic around the Boston area. There was a terrible thunder and lightening storm which really slowed things down. This and That
As has been the norm for this summer season in the northeast, we have had another round of heavy rain storms. Last Saturday night there were crazy thunder and lightening storms along the Jersey shore. Girlfriends Trip
This year we went to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Who knew we would have so much fun! There were a total of 8 this year as two of the ladies were able to drive the 90 minutes from their homes and meet us there. We stayed at the The Brewhouse which is the old Pabst brewing plant. One more thing, this past week while on the subway a couple was asking where to get off for ground zero. I told them the Wall Street station. Of course, the train was then being held in the station and wouldn't be moving for a while. I told them to follow me and we jumped on the #1 local which would take them a bit closer to their destination ( Read more... )
