We put Jessie down today. The cancer in his shoulder finally became too much. He couldn't get up if he was down and didn't want to lay down or move if he was up.

Mom seems okay, which is good.

We compare ourselves to the mass murderers and child rapists and say "see, I don't do any of that, I'm generally a good person." Don't you see, we're going about it all wrong.
