That sucks about Gaia, but at least you tried! I hope them keeping you on file leads to something, too. And actually, 2 months isn't so long for them to take to respond and it's nice of them to respond period. I had library interviews 2 years after I first applied... 0-0 (Not even my dream job.)

Have you considered becoming a pro (American) manga artist? Not necessarily with the tons of writers (like Melissa and me) who wish they had artists for their series ideas, but through publishers who would pay you well and assign you a story. It seems every place I look to see if they'll take writers says "No writers needed at this time, but artists needed!" I'd say try anything but TokyoPop since I heard they don't treat their artists the best, plus they've been going through financial difficulties ( ... )

OMG yes I had been interested in doing something like this but I didn't know of any place that was looking for artists! Thanks I'm going to send some stuff in~!
