It Sure Would!!mizannieApril 16 2008, 12:39:36 UTC
I've given up on being too embarrassed when I goof up, aside from the actual consequences, looking stupid in front of other people is what I hate the most. However, since at this late age the selfcenteredness lessens a bit, I can see that everyone else I know has a moment now and then in the limelight of being a dumbbunny. It's getting a little easier.
We had sleet and snow flurries on Monday. Really late in April for this kind of thing and it is chilly this morning. I've been reading your posts about the Keukenhoff(sp?). That's one of the first places our Dutch friends took us on our many trips to Holland. I envy you being able to change cultures, countries so rapidly. For some reason, going from state to state has never held the thrill that European travel did. Wonder why.

We have been blessed to be able to travel a bit, that's for sure. LJ brought me my friend, Percy, near Amsterdam...one of the many blessings LJ has given me. She was such a good hostess to us and took us all over for three days. Of course, all the Dutch people speak English but it was lovely to have a native guide while we were there. She's a world traveler herself.
I think that each country here has a culture and personality so distinct from all the others. The States have their differences but in the end it's all America, a landscape of fast food and lost cultural values. Maybe that sounds harsh. I love the US...it's my homeland. But here, in two hours on a plane, I cant travel to other worlds. Literally!
haha! these are some good ones, Annie! wI have been meanign to write back on your last email. part of the reason I haven't is because I had tot take some time to contemplate. what we were discussing is a very important question for me now. more later.big hug.

Rafal, I know. It is like the archetypal dance I am in, which is preparing me for something. Visions of a mother bird holding her fledglings underneath her wings. She will protect them from stones thrown by others, but won't stop at throwing stones herself to get the point across.
Dualism vs MultifaceticismseigebellApril 16 2008, 13:23:48 UTC
well, maybe you should consider doing this more often. these are warming words in dark times. I think the presidential election example is very indicative of life in general. To reduce things down to "either this" or "this" with no in between. I think that is battle of life to truly look at all the cards on the table and make the "right" choice, regardless of whether Camp A or Camp B will trump the results. I can be so philosophical! Sheesh. I voted third party in the last 2 presidential elections, obviously the either or's won out, but I am happy with my choice. This year I had a little fun with it. :)
