My car broke down on the 25th, and I spent $450 to get it fixed- water pump issue. When I got it back, I realized my air conditioning didn't work. Goody. fun times!
Sunday morning we (Chris' mom, dad, and brother Jon, Chris and I) went a-fishing! We were on a chartered boat with about 50 other people, including deckhands. It was awesome- I called it "city bumpkins go fishing!" We rented our rods and reels, and walked onto the boat. it's freaking HOT!
It's 10:30 AM, and already 95 degrees! Ick! Yesterday at school it was 110, and they said it's supposed to be a little warmer each day until Monday, when it finally cools. Today was the annual "diet coke and mentos" day! I do it every year on the Friday of the first full week of school, to get the students pumped about science and coming to school every day. Only 24 hours until I start school again! Actually, right now it's 24 hours and 30 minutes until 1st period begins! I can't believe it- it's only August, and I feel like we JUST got out of school, but oh well. I was out of school on Friday, spending time with my parents, who had flown down to see my apartment, and spend some time with me. They had never been out to this area before, so it was a big deal.
