I just called to schedule my annual appointment with the gynecologist and they told me that my doctor has left the practice.  The only other female doctor that doesn' t have an open appointment until December 1st, which is longer than I want to wait.  I just went ahead and schedule with the male doctor, but i'm sort of nervous about it.  Yeah I ( Read more... )

New York was so much fun!  The train ride, not so much.  our 1:30am train finally came in at 3:30am, and we didn't arrive until almost 7pm.  Our plans for the first day were pretty much shot, but we did manage to make our dinner reservations at Les Halles.  We have the cookbook and have tried the onion soup recipe a few times, so I was very curious ( Read more... )

ConAgra is closing its factory in my hometown. This means my dad just lost the job he's held for the last 35 years.  Thankfull, he was in a better situation than most.  He was only 4 years from retirement with a full pension, so he's just taking early retirement and losing about 17% of his pension.  They'll start phasing people out in January.  He' ( Read more... )
