WWMLED? What Would Madeleine L'Engle Do?

I'm using advice Madeleine L'Engle gave me. Personally.

You know those battered copies of her books like A WRINKLE IN TIME and/or A RING OF ENDLESS LIGHT that are falling apart and should be replaced? My copies can't be replaced because:

I applaud you for doing that! I think it may actually be easier to revise when you're looking at the text and then have a blank page to make changes to it - rather than trying to move things from here to there, etc. Clearly she was onto something.

Easier in some ways, but painful to look at that stack of paper and realize you've got a lot of work to (re)do!

Not gonna lie, I teared up reading this. It's gorgeous.

I ought to do a survey: How many writers do I know are writing because of Madeleine L'Engle, directly or indirectly? I can name four off the top of my head.

I am SOOOO behind on reading things (real life, why must you never go according to plan?!), but I'm still looking forward to your chapters. Have them safe with me all ready to go!

Survey is a great idea! I love science, as does Karen Romano Young, due to A WRINKLE IN TIME (me - physics) and THE ARM OF THE STARFISH/A RING OF ENDLESS LIGHT (Karen - oceanography)

You've written an AMAZING historical novel - who inspired you? (Cuz I want to shake his/her hand.) :-)
