Part of the long time is because I'm sleeping a lot -- more than I'm awake -- but I haven't turned the computer on for the last four days because my fingers hurt too much. Well, I saw them like this, but didn't mention it in the post! Both protagonists are black. In The Gift of Fire, the protagonist was black and mostly with blacks until he stood on a rock to give a sermon to a large group of people and noticed they weren't all black, they were mixed races. He decided that was okay.

The guys who brought the new fridge asked me to come out -- they showed me essentially the same problem with the new fridge. It's smaller and the tech was coming two days later, so I just had them put the door on. I'm choosing books to take to the library where, if nobody in the bookgroup wants them, they go to the bookcases where patrons can buy them for pennies. I've had a few books where I couldn't really remember enough about them to decide. A lot of those I read about 20 pages and put them in the Out pile.
