Today is Lucia here in Sweden, why exactly this lutheran country has adopted an italian saint is a long and somewhat strange story. But the upshoot is that we munch on mulled wine (glögg) gingerbread and saffron buns baked into strange and pagan shapes, while watching girls (and boys) wearing long white robes and glitter in their hair singing songs ( Read more... )
