So I guess it's time for my, hmm, seven year or so I'm alive post. What has happened since I last posted? I changed jobs, several times, was depressed and unemployed for a while, sank to the depths of slash as in Hockey RPS mpreg and genderbending. For which I will probably go to hell. Life sucks
I didn't get the job. As the putative employer hadn't contacted me I suspected that was the case and today she finally phoned and told me someone else got it So now I'm extremely disappointed but not really surprised. Not sure what my next move is, unless it's to buy a very expensive flat screen telly just to cheer me up ;-). I also got home to ( Read more... ) -

I'm a packrat
What is it about human nature, at least mine, that I have this need to hoard dvds? I don't think I'm a particularly acquisitive person normally, clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry bore me. Lions, Zebras and Maasai
I'm finally back in civilisation after spending the last week on safari. I've seen endless herds of elephants, zebras, wildeebests, antelopes, gazelles hundreds of giraffes and cape buffalo, watched a cheetah devour a gazelle and narrowly escaped being a lion's breakfast. Traditions
Today is Lucia here in Sweden, why exactly this lutheran country has adopted an italian saint is a long and somewhat strange story. But the upshoot is that we munch on mulled wine (glögg) gingerbread and saffron buns baked into strange and pagan shapes, while watching girls (and boys) wearing long white robes and glitter in their hair singing songs ( Read more... ) -

As anyone who's on irc knows I've spent the last three weeks or so swearing over modern technology. It all started when I *cough* accidentally dropped my pc - this is why cleaning is a dangerous and bad thing to do. So I had a literal computer crash. I finally moved in to my new place, no curtains up yet and at some point I'm going to actually *gasp* organise books and tape and dvds but still I'm getting there slowly but surely.
